Cosmo Joins as a Mythic Controller

Cosmo is the new Mythic Controller entering Brawl Stars, bringing an astronomy-themed kit built around widening projectile patterns, enemy targeting and controlled space. Starr Park’s lead astronomer at the Observatory, Cosmo teaches visitors about the universe while continuing to search the stars for something more. That setting carries directly into his named abilities, from ORBIT and GRAVITATIONAL PULL to PLANETARY PUSHBACK and TELESCOPE TRAP.

The central feature of Cosmo’s kit is that its parts are designed around changing how opponents occupy an area rather than relying on a single straightforward shot. His main attack fires three projectiles that travel in a circle. As they move, the projectiles separate further from one another while also increasing in size and damage. This gives the attack a clearly evolving shape over its travel, making its spacing as important to understanding the ability as its initial three-projectile launch. Cosmo has no Trait listed, so the rest of his available tools define the announced Mythic Controller package.

Cosmo Orbit projectiles grow with distance

Cosmo’s attack and Super explained

ORBIT is Cosmo’s main attack. It sends out three orbiting projectiles, with the projectiles becoming more spread out as they travel. Their size and damage also grow during that travel. The confirmed description therefore presents an attack whose coverage does not remain fixed from launch to its later path. PRECESSION, Cosmo’s first Star Power, increases the orbit speed of this main attack by 25%, directly modifying the movement of those projectiles rather than adding a separate effect.

Cosmo’s Super, GRAVITATIONAL PULL, takes a different route. He fires a positive magnet that attaches to an enemy, and teammates’ projectiles then receive extreme homing toward that target. The effect is specifically tied to a target hit by the magnet and to teammates’ projectiles, giving the Super a defined team-facing purpose. His second Star Power, AMMO ATTRACTOR, adds a resource reward when the Super hits an enemy: it reloads two ammo. Together, the Super description and this Star Power make the successful Super connection the key moment in that part of Cosmo’s kit. The announced details do not list a Trait, but they do establish a Brawler whose attack pattern, marked target and utility options all revolve around directing pressure in particular spaces.

Utility tools and progression rewards

Cosmo has two Gadgets that address enemy positioning in distinct ways. PLANETARY PUSHBACK knocks enemies back from the targeted area. TELESCOPE TRAP uses Cosmo’s telescope to reveal an area for six seconds, including invisible enemies. Enemy Brawlers inside that revealed area cannot use movement abilities, with dashes, jumps and teleports specifically included among the blocked actions. The difference matters in practical reading of the kit: one Gadget moves enemies away from a chosen area, while the other identifies an area and restricts movement abilities for enemies standing within it. Those are separate forms of space control, matching the announced Controller role without requiring an additional Trait.

  • ORBIT changes over distance: its three circular projectiles spread farther apart while growing in size and damage as they travel.
  • TELESCOPE TRAP lasts six seconds, reveals its area including invisible enemies, and prevents enemy Brawlers inside it from using movement abilities such as dashes, jumps and teleports.

Cosmo’s announcement establishes a Mythic Controller with a kit that changes projectile spacing, creates a homing focal point for teammates and offers two different area-focused Gadgets. Players also have PRECESSION for faster attack orbit speed and AMMO ATTRACTOR for two ammo on a Super hit, while Cosmo’s progression titles are Out of this World at Prestige 1 and Stargazer at Prestige 3. The result is a distinctly astronomy-led Brawler design centered on the exact tools revealed for Cosmo.
