Hide and Seek Leads New Modes and Maps
Hide and Seek is the headline addition in Brawl Stars’ latest set of maps, modes, environments and rotation changes. The mode divides four players into one Seeker and three Hiders, then asks the Seeker to eliminate every Hider while remaining alive before the clock expires. It is built around short rounds, changing responsibilities and a survival-focused scoring system rather than a single uninterrupted chase.
A match lasts four rounds, with players taking turns as the Seeker so every participant gets an opportunity to fill the attacking role. Each round runs for 45 seconds. The Seeker enters with significant boosts to movement speed, damage, health and size, but cannot regenerate health. That limitation gives the Hiders a defined route to victory: at least one must still be alive when time expires. The Seeker earns three points for a successful round, while Hiders receive one point for surviving. Hide and Seek also uses the Prop Hunt modifier, making movement, positioning and the decision to attack central to the round’s tension.

Prop Hunt shapes the Hide and Seek chase
Prop Hunt lets a player blend into the environment by stopping movement. After standing still, the player turns into a map element: a random wall or decoration drawn from the map theme, though never a tile or grass. The modifier favors props close to the player’s location, which gives Hiders a practical way to conceal themselves among nearby scenery instead of appearing entirely out of place.
The disguise is not permanent. Attacking reveals the player, but a brief period of inactivity allows another prop change. In Hide and Seek, that rule creates a direct contrast between hiding safely and taking action that may expose a position. The Seeker’s boosted stats make contact threatening, while the lack of health regeneration means each round still has a meaningful cost for reckless pressure. Prop Hunt can also appear in Showdown, Gem Grab, Knockout and Bounty, and it will be available in Friendly Rooms. The wider modifier lineup adds Loaded Walls, where broken walls can spawn bombs, bowling balls, shuriken or bumper cars, plus Friendly Fire, which allows any damage source capable of hurting enemies to damage teammates as well.
Ranked rotation and map changes at a glance
The broader update also changes the environments in circulation. adidas Arena, Katana Kingdom, MadEvil Manor and Pyramid Quest are removed, while Brawlywood, Duolingo, Ghost Metro, Giftshop and Swamp of Love are added. Ranked Season 1 features Brawl Ball, with Spiraling Out and Beach Ball listed for that mode, and offers Trunk, Willow and Kaze in its free Brawler rotation. Season 2 switches the featured mode to Hot Zone, lists In the Liminal and Quick Travel, and rotates Ash, Mortis and Pierce. New maps enter rotation across Hot Zone, Brawl Ball, Gem Grab, Knockout, Duels, Bounty, Hockey and Arena, extending the changes beyond the new Hide and Seek format.
- Hide and Seek round outcome: the Seeker wins by eliminating all three Hiders before time runs out while staying alive; Hiders win if at least one remains alive at the timer.
- Hide and Seek scoring: a winning Seeker receives three points, while each Hider gains one point for surviving a round.

Hide and Seek puts a compact four-round pursuit at the center of the update, but its identity comes from Prop Hunt’s shifting disguises and the Seeker’s powerful yet non-regenerating profile. Alongside that new mode, the revised environment pool, additional modifiers, Ranked season rotations and new map selection give players several supported ways to encounter fresh objectives and settings.
